The Lotus With-IN – Power Vinyasa

The practice of Vinyasa is designed to stimulate the moistened earth below, awaken the lotus seed within; inviting it to blossom above the murky waters as the lotus unfolds its many petals the true beauty that is the essence of your spirit begins to emerge.

Surrender your body, focus your mind, and let your breath be guided by supportive instructions. You will learn the foundations behind lightness and strength, how to listen for your own personal edge and go ever so slightly beyond it, and how to cultivate a regular practice through daily acceptance of your body.

The minute we accept ourselves as we are...we transform.

Go Back, Fall Back – The Yoga of Back Bends

We live in a world that constantly moves forward. Whether we like it or not, we can not step back....Or can we?

Yoga connects you to your past by immersing you in the present. Backbends challenge your comfort and reveal your utmost potential. They pull you to the immediate gift before you, the light in your heart...the brightness of the being that you are.

In this workshop you will learn the basic principles of backbending...opening the front of the body, lengthening the hamstrings, conquering drop backs and ultimately how to relax into the present moment by letting go of the past.

Gabriel spent over 6 months in India studying with back bending master Vinay Kumar; during that time he learned a complete back bending practice. All levels are welcome, newer students will be given modifications and more seasoned practitioners will be given more advanced variations. Being mindful of the breath and alignment Gabriel will start off slowly and move deeper and deeper into the yoga of backbending.

Yin/Yang Yoga

At the end of the Day there is Night.
If you want to go up, you must also be willing to come down.
If you can say No, why not choose Yes?

Yin-Yang Yoga explores the dimension between opposites. Flowing with strength and stamina, igniting the fire inside; while surrendering deeper into the more dense connective tissues and exploring the consciousness that pervades around the dancing light.

In the spirit of opposites, we will practice a variety of postures, upright and inverted...yang and yin. Regardless of your yoga background you will find options and variations that complement any level.
